How does a disciple of Jesus keep the law of God? How should the kingdom of God be lived out in Christian community? The rule of God is expressed in the Old Testament law and in Jesus’ recovery of its real intent in the Sermon of the Mount. We come to understand the meaning of the law by considering the context of the Sinai Covenant and Old Testament law and the principles running through it and Jesus’ teaching. It is not just ethical guidelines and rules but is living in community with God and his people.
